FS Helps Anglers Find Their Perfect Boat with 'Best Boat ' Magazine, TV Series and Online Tools

Magazine and TV Series Answers Question “What is the Best Boat for Me?”

There are many questions to ask when selecting the perfect boat and it can become a confusing, time-consuming process. Thankfully, the experts at Florida Sportsman have created a solution to this dilemma with their “Best Boat” magazine, TV series and online Boat Selector Tool. This special issue goes on sale on newsstands exclusively in Florida the week of October 15.

“Our expert guides will help consumers find their perfect boat by simply asking a few questions like, what types of fish do they want to catch; where are they fishing and how many other anglers are with them?” said Blair Wickstrom, Publisher for Florida Sportsman magazine. “Our new magazine, TV series and online boat selector tool offer a variety of classes and price ranges to fit every angler's budget.”

Florida Sportsman Best Boat magazine is available now in Florida. The 104-page magazine reviews 36 boats in six different categories and 12 classes. The magazine is broken down into six sections: Center Consoles 21'-29', Center Consoles 30'-42', Bay Boats 19'-26', Flats Boats 16'-21', Bass Boats 20'-21' and Outboards. Each section begins by highlighting the activities and species anglers are likely to target with that particular category of boat with the “On the Water” section. In this section, three boats in each category are used to highlight the key features anglers should be looking for in that particular class and category of boat. And to wrap it up, a complete list of boats in the category and class, including pricing, is given.

The complementary TV series, “Florida Sportsman Best Boat,” is a weekly, 13-part series that is currently airing on Fox Sun Sports through December, 2013. “Aside from riding in one, there's no better way to see how a boat rides than seeing it run,” said Florida Sportsman Boating Editor Dave East. Each show features a specific category and class of boats. The show premiers each Friday at 9 a.m. and then re-airs Sunday at 8:30 p.m. and Tuesday at 5:30 a.m.

And no search for the perfect boat would be complete without the ability to search online. The Florida Sportsman Best Boat Selector Tool allows anglers to submit specific criteria on how they want to use their boat, along with their price range.
