Costa Sunglasses looks ahead to the 2023 Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show, Feb. 15-19, where the sponsoring sunglass brand will celebrate its 40th Anniversary promoting conservation and educating water enthusiasts to protect our watery world.

Joining Costa’s Kick Plastic movement to reduce single-use plastics and raise awareness for ocean plastic pollution, Miami International Boat Show has pledged to eliminate single-use plastic water bottles. Costa Kick Plastic stations will be set up at key locations throughout the show, providing attendees with filtered-water and selling reusable Costa water containers.

Outlined in Costa’s Protect Report, Costa Sunglasses has dedicated the past 40 years to preserving our oceans, waterways and fisheries. As an extension of its mission, Costa’s Conservation Village will focus on its leading cause initiatives (#KickPlastic and #OneCoast) and programs (Costa Compete + Conserve and Costa TU 5 Rivers). Located in Pride Park, directly outside the Convention Center, Costa’s Conservation Village will give attendees the opportunity to:

  • Brush up on ways Costa is supporting mission-aligned cause partners
  • View the latest from Costa Films while relaxing in the lounge area
  • Try on Costa’s Untangled Collection of sunglasses and hats made from 97-100% recycled fishing nets
  • Rehydrate and refresh under cooled fans at the hydration station
  • Compete in Costa’s 'Cornhole for a Cause' benefitting conservation
  • Win Costa swag and raffle prizes

Costa Conservation Village has set the standard for Boat Show best practices over the years, including banning plastic along the floating docks as well as eliminating styrofoam, plastic straws and utensils.

On the water, Costa’s Contender One (C1) Tournament Fishing Team will host demos at Miami Beach Marina. Aboard the Costa-wrapped Contender, attendees will meet the 2022 ‘Quest for the Crest’ Champion team, including In The Bite’s Florida Captain of the Year Captain Quinton “Q” Dierterle.

Costa’s award-winning performance and lifestyle sunglasses and apparel will be available for purchase inside the Convention Center. Visit Costa’s exclusive retailer, Crook & Crook (Booth #MB3102), Capt. Harry’s or Chaos for a gift with sunglass purchase.
