Boat Review - Everglades 435cc

Their flagship model, the 435 Center Console from Everglades embodies the concept of sportfishing luxury. Blending equal parts Sunday morning relaxation with full throttle attack mode fishability, this model is thoughtfully engineered for operation in both modes simultaneously.

Our initial impression of her at the dock was in the fading light and at first glance with accent LED's tastefully highlighting the plush forward lounge and two rows of helm seats under a beautifully styled powder coated hard top, the 435 appeared more suited to clinking champagne glasses aboard under the moonlight. Indeed, this model is trimmed out for comfort at every corner but upon closer inspection, I found a war wagon complete with every tool necessary for serious blue water battle hiding discretely between the lines.

A large forward seating layout built for five adults surrounds a power-assisted, pedestal operated dining table which can be lowered to seat height and filled with a cushion for sunbathing or used as an elevated fishing deck. Insulated dry compartments below the seats to port and starboard frame another massive 900 quart insulated hold below the center deck.

At the forward edge of the console, a pair of form fitting upholstered lounge seats with a center divider face forward and offer another large insulated compartment beneath your legs.

The console interior on the 435 provides enough comfort to take the edge off on a hot summer day while delivering the necessary amenities to make a self-reliant multi-day destination trip a reality. An L-shaped lounge seating area converts into a queen-sized bed at the touch of a button. A classy wood trimmed vanity with a glass basin sink also features a TV, refrigerator and a microwave. A partition wall sporting an illuminated etched glass marlin separates the main cabin from the head and shower. Ice cold air conditioning is operated via shore power or a diesel generator.

The Everglades 435 helm is protected by a three-sided glass enclosure including their hydraulic sliding front glass design for ventilation. Triple 16-inch Garmin displays fit neatly among house systems switching and the Yamaha Helm Master control for the quadruple 425 XTO engines. Triple ladder back seats are independently adjustable and a second rear helm station/tackle center features a fold-down bench seat forward. This seat in the up position creates a leaning space to stand behind and watch your baits while under the shade of the massive hard top. The rear facing side of the tackle center offered another fold down seat which conceals a large battery compartment. The top surface includes a rigging table/sink with fresh and raw washdowns. Tackle storage is available on both sides of the console.

For the angler, a wide open 200 square foot cockpit deck is free of any clutter and ready for serious business. A pair of 60-gallon pressurized live wells are at opposite corners in the transom and at center a folding jump seat is concealed within the 45-gallon refrigerated transom fishbox. Power points for electric reels or kite reels are to port and starboard. A large compartment below the deck offers access to the bilge systems including plumbing, pumps, the generator, and the Sea Keeper Gyro-Stabilizer.

From bow to stern, this boat is extremely feature heavy. No useful option was left out on this model and after spending the day running it, I was still discovering smart details as I left the boat at day's end. The 435 Center Console is a serious luxury sport vessel that will satisfy the most discriminating owner in every way.
