Team USA Invitational Spearfishing Tournament

The TEAM USA INVITATIONAL SPEARFISHING TOURNAMENT is set for March 17th, 2012. This event is open to all who would like to compete and we encourage divers of all skill levels to come out and get wet.

The Captains Meeting for this event will be March 8, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at Scotty's Landing in Coconut Grove and we will be raffling a new GOPRO HD2 camera, so don't miss out on your opportunity to win.

This fun tournament will raise funds for the US NATIONAL SPEARFISHING TEAM, who will be representing all of us spearfishers, freedivers, and underwater enthusiasts at the 2012 SPEARFISHING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS inVIGO,SPAIN next summer.

This tournament is going to be a blast!!! It will be held at Scottys Landing in Coconut Grove and will have a captains meeting on March 8th at Scottys. Teams will comprised of either 2 or 3 divers. Entry fee is $50 per diver and you can sign up at our website using the Paypal button or at the captains meeting prior to the tournament.

The categories are Top Team, Top Individual, Largest Fish and LARGEST LIONFISH. Each diver can weigh only 10 fish and the minimum size for any species (except lionfish) is 14". Only 2 fish per species will be allowed per diver.

This tournament will also feature a HUGE RAFFLE with spearguns, wetsuits, video cameras, framed art, etc. -so even if you miss the tournament you will still want to check out the raffle.
