The CCR line of utility skiffs from Sundance Boats are a great example of a true “Utility Skiff” for the boater who needs a vessel to do a little bit of everything. A utility skiff is typically a ruggedly built boat designed to carry lots of passengers or cargo that will allow you to enjoy multiple activities on the water, while not specifically designed for one use in particular. The B20CCR is a good choice for a family boat that will get the whole gang out on the water safely and comfortably. It's offered at a price point that is within reach for many folks just starting out in the boating world. At 19'10” long by 7'10” wide, the B20CCR is a very solid, stable platform built to carry up to 8 passengers and plenty of gear for multiple activities. A utility skiff is a good choice for folks not in search of lots of creature comforts, but who like to enjoy the action around the outside of the boat. For fishing, diving/snorkeling, sand bar loafing, or tubing with the kids, a utility skiff is a good option. The B20CCR will get you into water as shallow as 6” but still handles a fairly stiff bay chop admirably. She carries 24-gallons of fuel and boasts some pretty impressive performance numbers, hitting 6-MPG at 4500 RPM while cruising 30-MPH. Top speed was just under 40-MPH (4.3-MPG) with a 90-HP Yamaha 4-stroke. Standard features on the B20CCR include front and rear Live Baitwells, a 76-quart Flip Cooler Helm Seat, Trolling Motor Harness (6-Ga.), U-Flex No Feedback Rotary Steering, Stainless Steel Pop-Up Cleats, Rigid Rub Rail with Stainless Steel insert, Under Gunnel and Console Rod Holders. Tachometer/Voltage/Fuel Gauges, 4-Switch Instrument Panel and Breakers as well as 12V Power Point are all on the dash. Storage areas include under foredeck space accessible through a 13x23” hatch, under forward jump seats, inside the console and beneath the aft casting deck. If you are looking for an able, rugged multi-function platform that trims off the gingerbread to keep the price point reasonable, this is a solid candidate.
