Stuart Boatworks 23

Stuart Boatworks bills their 23' model as the “Little Brother” to the Stuart 27 but there is nothing little about this boat. She is a thoughtfully laid out 23' open fishing platform that packs a lot of features and plenty of working/playing space into a boat her size. The forward seating arrangement works nicely for running around on a cruise with the family but doesn't interfere with fish ability in any way. Likewise, the cockpit is very open with an extremely clean deck feel and open space across the transom making it easy to work out of and to maneuver around the engines while fighting a fish. You'll find an insulated forward fishbox along with three in-deck storage lockers aft which also help to keep clutter off of the decks. The clean and functional rocket launcher/leaning post is offered with a 40-gallon livewell, fixed backrest, 4-rod holders, 2-drink holders a folding foot rest and more storage under the seat. One of the stand out features of this 23-footer is the finish work and build quality. The Stuart 23 is finish work is very much like you'd expect to see on a much larger vessel. Notably, access to all of your electrical systems are easily reached through a side entry door on the center console. The ability to actually get inside of the console and work on or maintain your batteries, wiring, and electronics is a big plus on a boat this size. The additional space inside of the console also provides yet another storage option. Finally, from a ride standpoint the 23 is a sharp entry 17-degree deadrise hull that performs nicely in a head sea for a boat this size and the spray rails added to her chines do a nice job deflecting the occasional wave that you can't run past. Overall this is a boat that deserves a serious look if you're in the market for an offshore boat in this class.
