Southern Kingfish Association Shutting Down

The biggest local fishing tournament needs to find new accreditation. The Southern Kingfish Association says it's dissolving because of the economy.

Jack Holmes with Southern Kingfish Association said lack of sponsors and the economy are to blame for the competitive fishing accrediting body Southern Kingfish Association shutting down.

“The cost of fuel, the cost of boats, the cost of equipment for your boat. If you can't afford to buy a boat, you can't go out and fish in the tournament,” said Holmes.
