Sea Born FX25 Bay

Sea Born FX25 Bay
This stylish hull features a single stepped performance running surface.

Another very attractive offering from Sea Born Boats is the flagship of their FX Series, the FX25. This model meets the demands of those in the market for the increasingly popular “Hybrid Bay” style boat. Offering the casting deck forward layout for inshore fishing as well as a traditional recessed cockpit aft, more like a traditional center console, is a business model that is growing rapidly and for good reason, it's a smart and functional design. The FX25 is packed with features that should appeal to the serious fisherman starting with the aforementioned deck design. If you like pitching to docks or jetties, sight casting to cruising fish on the beach or throwing a cast net from a large stable surface, the raised deck will speak to you. For days beyond the breakwater when conditions are a bit bumpier and you need sure footing, the security of some gunnel height and a sunken deck to stand inside the boat on will also seem wise. Serious anglers always appreciate an abundant capacity for keeping large quantities of live bait and the FX25 doesn't disappoint in this department either. Three live wells are standard beginning with a large above the deck well located inside of the helm seat. In the forward casting deck is another large well with a clear hatch lid for the angler on the bow and an additional well is located under the forward console seat. All wells feature LED lighting and the aft well features a clear face as well for keeping lighting conditions constant in your tank and promoting healthier baits.

For cruising days or just relaxing the forward deck is a two tier design with Wrap Around seating at the lower level and a forward seat on the console offers an additional place to ride. Beneath the forward deck are matching insulated rod lockers and a center located insulated drink cooler compartment. Room for two people seated across the helm and two more on the flip down bench seat across the fully closed transom rounds out plenty of options for cruising with a large family or group of friends. A head located inside the console also makes these outings more comfortable.

The FX25 is built on a single step hull with a 17-degree deadrise bottom offering the performance and fuel efficiency you'd expect from sport boats in her class. This is a very practical option and very competitively priced with lots of useful features for the inshore/nearshore angler.
