This was the one boat out of the three that leaned more toward family use, with its plush interior and full height windshield. The Scout 245 has a LOA of 24-feet, 5-inches and a beam of 8-feet, 6-inches. The bow seating area had a unique fold down snack table that revealed a drink cooler, perfect for entertaining. As you move to the stern you pass a helm seat/tackle center that had folding bolsters which at first we thought was overkill for a 23-foot boat but once we had the opportunity to run the boat and experience the added comfort of this seating arrangement, it fit with the Scout's other refinements. The stern layout exemplified the Scout's dual purpose by incorporating two stern baitwells, 9 and 10 gallons respectively, and a rear seat that folded forward to provide access to twin swim platforms. Opting for the max horsepower, Scout hung a 300 Yamaha 4 stroke on the transom which the hull's displacement carried with ease.
