Rodman Fishing Hot During Drawdown

Florida Sportsman Contributor Capt. Terry Lacoss sent in a picture of a real hawg caught by Jim Maughon recently at Rodman Reservoir.

" I took the Amelia Island Plantation Fish Club to Rodman this past week during the drawdown, going for the big one!" Lacoss said. "It bounced the Boga Grip scales past the 12-pound mark and at times came close to the high end of the 15-pound max weight.   We fished deep holes in the hydrilla that I marked with my recorder, backed off and made long casts with giant shiner using 20-pound braid and spinning tackle. Lots of big bass this trip!"

Lacoss has written numerous articles for the Florida Sportsman print edition. He currently owns and runs the Amelia Angler Outfitters tackle shop.
