Shown in the image is the VR Technology Sentinel Rebreather.
Rebreathers are advanced dive equipment which allow a diver to rebreathe their air by way of removing the carbon dioxide and replenishing the oxygen in proper proportion. They offer a number of benefits for divers, not the least of which are that they don't expel bubbles for a less distracting presence and they grant greater stealth—especially good if you're a Navy Seal.
Over the last 18 years rebreather technology, ethos and training have changed, and if you're interested, you can attend a conference on rebreather technology coming up. The event is called Rebreather Forum 3, and the conference will be held on Friday 18th - Sunday 20th May 2012 inOrlando, sponsored by the Diver's Alert Network, PADI and AAUS.
