When it comes to keeping your catch cold, along with vital food and water while out in the hot sun, having the right cooler makes all the difference. Nowadays, coolers can hold ice for multiple days; but often these "super coolers" are misused and their ice retention is sacrificed greatly. Outdoorsmen will often blame the cooler itself, but proper preparation and use of the cooler will drastically change the length of time it will hold ice.
In this FS Seminar, Rick Ryals explains how simple things such as limiting cooler use, storing it in a cool environment before adding ice, and loading it full to the top, will contribute to many days of cold drinks and fish.
