For years, offshore anglers have placed their trust in Daiwa’s 12V power-assist reels. New for 2023 is the Seapower 1200 , featuring an all-aluminum body and a host of innovations that set the standard for speed, power, and performance. The brushed variable-speed motor is strategically placed inside the spool, supported by an oversized planetary gearing system, ensuring outstanding torque and durability. According to Daiwa, the Seapower 1200 surpasses the Tanacom series in power by 40 to 50%. Seapower can retrieve up to 140 yards of line per minute and with a maximum drag of 66 pounds, anglers can target everything from snapper to swordfish. When fully spooled, the reel can accommodate 1,110 yards of 80-pound braid. Additional features include an oversized SiC line guide, LED readout, programmable depth stopping, jigging functions, and multiple language settings. MSRP $999.99. FS
