Maverick HPX-S

Maverick Boat Company raises the bar again by adding another technical poling skiff to their popular HPX line. The new HPX-S sports an all new hull design that has exceptional performance in super skinny water and addresses some of the running issues associated with other shallow water craft.

This new HPX-S hull design corners well in hard turns with no sliding. When poling on the flats, it spins on a dime and when you stop poling it will turn on its own into the wind, which will make fishing on those windy days more enjoyable.

All of the dry storage compartments are fully finished, including the hatches, with deep edge channels to direct water flow. Standard features include under gunnel rod holders with carpeted hull sides to protect your gear, recessed trim tabs and a poling platform. You can opt to have the center stern well plumbed for live bait and an additional platform added to the bow casting deck. Maverick's infusion construction method, along with Kevlar material, keeps the hull weight to a minimum and enhances the structural integrity of the boat.

FS Boating Editor, Dave East, met with Charlie Johnson and Skip Lyson from Maverick in Ft. Pierce, FL to get a close-up look at this new HPX model.
