Invincible 39 Open Boat Review

Let's take a closer look at the Invincible 39 Open in this Florida Sportsman boat review.

The Invincible 39 Open leaves nothing to be desired in the ride department when heavy weather offshore performance counts.

On our test day, large swells with enough sea breeze to add texture was ideal to show how easily the 39 Open handled big weather. This boat powered by triple 400 Mercury power is fast and the ride is assertive. Despite pressing the 39 to the edge of her limits, I couldn't make her pound or get anyone onboard wet. This model is rated for a maximum of 1800 HP although 1200 HP left me completely satisfied.

The 39 Open is built to be used for hardcore fishing in extreme conditions. The cockpit layout is built around an all-weather console and hard top enclosure that provides protection from the elements behind a three-sided glass weather barrier built within contoured pipework that looks stylish while tightening up the workspace around the console exterior.

The helm face provides space for dual large screen multi-function units and instrumentation. The panel is oriented at a height and angle allowing you to keep your eyes on the approaching water and with just a glance- view all of your dash electronics. Seating is wide enough for three, with the helm in the center position.

The 39 Open mixes the correct amount of live baitwell volume with insulated fish storage below deck and a rod holder at your disposal within arm's reach from anywhere on the deck. Two high-volume bait wells- one in the cockpit deck and a second across the transom are each supplied by a sea chest and outfitted with between two and six pumps depending on your needs. Insulated storage is located in four places on board- both forward and aft for convenience and balance. In the bow- there's a large fish hold at the forefoot of the oversized sun lounge. The lounge also serves as a high-volume cold storage space. This space divides up nicely to segregate cold storage items and would be ideal for storing provisions for a Bahama trip or overnighter to the canyons. Another pair of fish holds flank the cockpit deck. The tackle center/rigging surface is located behind the seat back over a rear facing cooler built into the helm station. The seating and other comfort features can be ordered in a number of different configurations along with a host of other customizable features based on each individual's needs.
