It's hard to dispute that for saltwater inshore fisherman, the shrimp is one of the top baits to use. It's the main forage for Florida's favorite gamefish, like redfish, snook, and trout. This year at ICAST 2013, Live Target Lures unveiled their first soft plastic, the Saltwater Shrimp.
Their new Saltwater Shrimp follows the Live Target principle of being very lifelike, in both appearance and action. Besides outward appearance, it incorporates a rattle chamber to create the “ticking” sound associated th shrimp movement, an adjustable weight system, infused shrimp scent, and saltwater grade hooks (pre-rigged).
They are available several colors including brown, sand, glass, pink, glow and white. They will be in 3 and 4 inch sizes.
The shrimp will be sold individually, or in packages of four. A single 3-inch lure will retail for about $4.49, with the 4-inch version going for $5.49. The four-lure value pack will be $10.49 for the 3-inch version, and $11.49 for the 4-inch size. Expected to hit store shelves in November. www.livetargetlures.com .
