Candy Snook, photo by Drew Wickstrom, Florida Sportsman art director.
“While fishing around a few bridges on the south fork of the St. Lucie River, Jeremy Neff hooks a nice slot snook on a 2-ounce snook jig,” Drew says. “The tide was near slack, the sky dark with stars and the air had a nice California dry crisp to it which made for a beautiful night. I motored the boat in front of the red light of the fender to give a little background color to the shots and the fins of the fish picked up the light perfectly giving the fins and tail a red candy look. The camera was set on TV mode with ISO set to 1000. Sometimes you just get lucky. Camera; 60D with a Tokina 11-16 F 2.8 lens.”
