Grundens Adds Ragnar Jacket

Named after a viking warlord, this warm, water-resistant jacket is ready for nasty fishing situations.

The new Ragnar hooded jacket and pullover are the latest additions to the Grundens' Gage Technical Gear line. Grundens is best known for its dry jackets and bibs in some of the nastiest weather and water conditions.

Everything about the new jacket is rugged and ready for waves, starting with its name. Born in Uppsala, Sweden in 765 A.D., Ragnar Lorbrok was a viking warlord and unstoppable adventurer. Like its namesake, the Gage Ragnar is made to conquer the elements and is tough enough to handle any activity. Offshore running, trolling and bottom fishing in nasty seas,  ocean kayaking when the swells are up, or even surf and jetty fishing when the shorebreak is crashing. Anglers  need both warmth and protection from spray, rain and waves.

Available in both a full zippered jacket and zippered pullover, the Ragnar combines two proven fabrics for comfort, warmth and protection. The upper chest, shoulders and head are surrounded by a soft shell fabric that is not only wind proof, water resistant and breathable—it also provides enhanced mobility. The lower torso and arms are protected by sturdy, waterproof PVC material over comfortable cotton.

This hybrid design keeps the upper body warm and comfortable, while providing serious waterproof protection against the splashes, drips and sprays that are unavoidable when on or around the water. Sturdy and easy to clean, this heavy duty PVC fabric is built to last season after season.

Technical features like fully welded seams, thick neoprene cuffs, the adjustable Gage Halo Hood and Shock cord hem adjustments help seal body warmth in, while keeping cold air and moisture out. Large hand warmer pockets help keep fingers warm and nimble, while a zippered security pocket keeps valuables and other important items safe and close at hand. Both the Ragnar jacket and pullover feature a heavy duty, easy to operate zipper with a sturdy storm flap that keeps the body protected.

Grundens offers the Gage Ragnar in black fabric with orange PVC coating. With eight available sizes (XSL to XL) there is a Ragnar jacket or pullover to accommodate any size, shape, sex or age. Expect to pay about $149 (sizes 3XL-5XL slightly higher). To learn more about the new Gage Ragnar jacket and pullover, or the full line of Gage Technical Gear apparel and accessories, go to www.Grundens.com.
