Glasstream Powerboats have a visually evident heritage in the racing boat world. At first glance you might think you are looking at an offshore racing boat with a T-top added but this A.L. Kirkland designed hull is rigged to fish. The 360 Pro-XS is a super-fast performance hull that will get you there and back quickly and offer 2.4 MPG performance at 48-MPH. For anglers who need to make extended runs offshore such as to blue water grounds in the Gulf of Mexico, these are impressive stats. Power options in various twin or triple engine configurations provide speeds ranging from 65-85-MPH at wide open throttle. This would be considered extremely useful when a quick escape from sudden approaching foul weather or spot hopping while fishing over a large area is required on a day trip.
The overall style and appearance of the Glasstream will appeal to the boater who likes a racy looking hull finished in bold graphics. The 360 Raptor version featured this year was finished in a color scheme straight from the Glasstream vault. Offered as part of their “Metal Series” the hull and trim are painted in a very subdued metallic flake that was very eye catching but not over the top. All of the trim and upholstery accents complemented the overall sporty appearance of the boat very nicely. Although this boat might seem more at home passing every other boat along the beach or cruising the inside waterways with the music playing on the weekend, it is rigged for fishing and standard equipment includes a 36-gallon live baitwell in the cockpit as well as a 240-quart insulated fish box. Rocket launcher and gunnel mounted rod holders in the cockpit complete the standard fishing package and with some optional modifications this boat easily converts more into the serious, fish hard side of boating.
The 360 Pro-XS is built on a performance oriented, high lift, ventilated step bottom that offers speed and fuel economy for long runs and an impressive 560-mile range at 90-percent capacity. If you like boating and your taste leans more to the sports car than the pickup truck, this could be a boat worth taking a hard look at.
