Today, Long Nguyen and Blair Wickstrom presented a $9,372 check to the Jouppi family of Stuart, FL. The check will benefit the youngest, Dylan Jouppi, who was born with an encephalocele, hydrocephalus, Dandy-Walker Syndrome and Klippel-Feil Syndrome. This check came from the Florida Sportsman Southeast Bash fishing tournament that ran this past May. In addition to the check, additional funds have been raised for the Dylan Jouppi fund, netting a total of over $10,000!
Since the bash, Dylan has been cleared to start growth hormone treatments, which will be done by injection everyday. In addition to injections and daily checkups, Dylan will also be able to attend therapy a few times a week, which is one of the many things that is not covered by insurance. This wouldn't be possible without the support of the local community.
The Jouppi family is extremely grateful and wants to thank everyone who helped support Dylan and this great event. They are looking forward to next year's Bash, which will be run in a similar format.
