Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2012

Florida Sportsman Boating Editor, Dave East, talks with Michael Brown, Dusky Boats, about their new 278T center console.

The Ft. Lauderdale International Boat show opened last Thursday with Hurricane Sandy passing by closely offshore producing gale-force winds onshore.

The gusts and rain made for barely tolerable conditions at the Bahia Mar outdoor portion of the show, however, attendees were treated to perfect conditions inside the convention center.

Each year many companies choose the massive Halloween weekend show to unveil some of their newest products, and this year was no different--despite the agonizing intrusion of Sandy.

Florida Sportsman editors were at the show all weekend, shooting photos and video for the magazine and website. Here we bring you some of the best of the best, and the newest, boats available for 2013.
