Bad weather, great bites
Everyone aboard the Main Attraction left with a trip to remember, plus a lot of sore muscles.
While tropical storm Alberto may be stirring up some wind and rain over Memorial Day weekend, that doesn't mean he is going to scare the fish away.
There have been some epic catches lately, including what's likely some kind of record-breaking sailfish bite off the Keys. A half-day sailfish trip off Key West resulted in a total of 61 sailfish taken on Capt. Marty Lewis' Main Attraction .
The Silent Hunter reported 65 sailfish releases and a chunky tuna to boot.
Flags were also flying high in Marathon, Florida where the Silent Hunter , captained by BJ Meyer, reported a total of 65 sailfish releases in one day. BJ's father, Marathon flats guide Barry Meyer, tells Florida Sportsman the sails were caught sight-fishing with ballyhoo and pilchards. Fish were tailing downsea under windy, rainy conditions between Marathon and Key West, according to Capt. Barry. More details coming soon!

If you're looking to give an epic sportfishing catch to a veteran this Memorial Day, you might want to set your sights on some sails. Remember, if you are going to brave the weather this weekend, be smart, be safe and have a Happy Memorial Day!
