Season III of Florida Sportsman Project Dreamboat is set to air on Sportsman Channel, a significantly larger national audience for the new season of the popular reality based television show.

To kick off Season III of Florida Sportsman Project Dreamboat, in the first episode Boating Editor George LaBonte spends a day on the water with Capt. Allan Black aboard Black's rebuilt, classic 1988 Boston Whaler Outrage 25. LaBonte, like Black, has spent his adult life on the water as a professional captain. With him as host of Project Dreamboat, viewers can expect to get the right questions about rebuilding and customizing boats asked and answered.

In addition to the One Man's Dreamboat segments, Florida Sportsman Project Dreamboat also features those boat owners in the midst of building their dreams with the crew at Marine Customs Unlimited. Here you get a glimpse behind the scenes of custom projects and expert rigging, revealed through an entertaining, made-for-TV format.

Much of the work done in the show will include product from a variety of show sponsors, including new this season: Infinity by Harman, FGCI, Taco, TNT Custom, Engel Shurhold and Pacer.

“We chose to participate in Project Dreamboat as we see the value the show brings to our marine brands, Infinity by Harman and JBL by Harman. Both Infinity and JBL are well respected in the automotive and lifestyle audio market but we feel consumers are less familiar with it on the marine side,” commented Josh Berry, V.P. Sales & Marketing. Mike Kushner, Taco Marine felt similarly, “It's a great way to showcase our innovative products and how they can enhance your project boat.”

This sentiment was echoed by Craig Desefano, with Bennett Marine, “We've got a new automatic trim tab control system just introduced that I think the viewers are going to love to see in action.” As for Power-Pole, they hope to show how easy their products are to install.

Some of the less identifiable product sponsors, such as the wire and paint companies who participate, are equally important to successful builds. On the wire side, the Pacer Group is the number one provider of marine wiring and electric components in the U.S. and is excited about participating. And Awlgrip paint is on board again looking forward to showcasing their world-class product.

Armstrong and Yamaha have been sponsoring Project Dreamboat from the beginning. Armstrong is the clear leader in the engine bracket category and Yamaha is the engine of choice for most re-powers. “Anybody that invests the time and resources necessary to build their dreamboat is just the kind of consumer that demands Yamaha performance,” commented Yamaha Marketing Director Frank Wilhelm.

Power-Pole, the original shallow water anchor brand, has partnered with Project Dreamboat to showcase the products ease of use and installation, and Shurhold will make sure each project boat is kept “Clean-N-Simple.”
