From Contender Boats comes a smart looking extremely functional Bay/Hybrid boat that is sure to make you stand up and take notice. The Bay 25 is a model that offers options for anglers who like fishing inshore and along the beach but also like to venture offshore occasionally. This boat is rigged to accommodate the best of both worlds with features found on their traditional offshore platforms worked into a shallow water capable inshore model. A double stepped hull is utilized to increase performance at running speeds while offering better fuel economy. The 25 has an abundance of working space both forward and aft including a roomy bow casting deck that blends aftward into a comfortable U-shaped seating area. In the rear of the boat you'll find an aft casting deck as well that sits atop over 40-gallons of live wells, additional storage hatches and twin flip up jump seats for riders. The boat sports a 180-quart insulated fish box as well as a 170-quart insulated cooler along with 340-quarts of dry storage space. Unique to the 25 is a hatch within a hatch storage system under the forward deck which provides immediate access to items you might use frequently as well as a hidden hatch below that deck for items you require long term storage for. Side lockers under the foredeck can store safety gear as well as rods and tackle. The console on the 25 is thoughtfully laid out for the helmsman and can be customized to suit your choice of electronics. Inside of the console through a forward hatch you'll find easy access to all of the boats electrical systems, steering, electronics etc. A second station feature is offered for sight fishing by the addition of controls above the T-top that can be run from a standing position on top of the lower console dash. This is especially useful for cruising the beach looking for Tarpon or Cobia or even traveling along a weed line offshore looking into the water for Dolphin. Contender has come up with a nice little multi-use platform in this model.
