At first glance the 23-foot long Century 2301 was a bit understated with its 8-foot, 6-inch wide interior looking somewhat unadorned. At closer inspection we found all of the key features designed into the boat and some surprising extras. The bow was comprised of a cavernous anchor locker and seating, which is on top of the largest fish boxes in the mix. We expected to find a potty, which we did, this one is housed in a truly standup head in the center console. Also in the console, batteries were stored dry, out of the bilge, behind a hatch and an upholstered interior finish. The helm seat had a built-in tackle center and the stern seat included a removable back rest and two grab handles for safety. To access the swim ladder the Century had a hinged transom door and if your recreational outings include diving, this seemingly simple feature would soon become a must have. A 250 Yamaha 4 stroke powered this boat with enough speed to keep up with any other boat in this size range.
