This offering from Carolina Skiff is a bit of a departure from what most people think of when they see this brand. Carolina Skiff is well known for building rugged no nonsense flat bottom skiffs commonly used for fishing/working platforms but a look deeper into their line brings us the Ultra Elite 24. This “ain't your daddy's Carolina Skiff” comes to mind when you see it. The Elite 24 is really a crossover skiff that combines features you'll find useful whether you like to cruise on boats with the family or enjoy serious fishing. Most notable in this respect is how both the forward and aft casting decks are roomy enough to fish multiple anglers yet each convert to a comfortable seating arrangement and sun lounging area. This is accomplished through the use of removable cushions forward and a trio of fold-away seats aft. Another novel feature is the addition of a drop down privacy curtain on the front lifting console hatch. This allows a bit of privacy for changing into a swimsuit or to use the porta-potti found inside the console. Another noteworthy fact is the passenger rating- the Ultra Elite 24 is approved for carrying up to 16 people which might have it in the hunt for the ultimate “Sand Bar” cruising machine. Of course this shouldn't be mistaken for just a cruising boat despite these numbers. She is a very fish worthy boat and also includes all of the amenities you expect to find on one. Rod holders, leaning post, built in baitwell, pre-wire for 24 volt trolling motor, and plenty of dry storage are all standard. A host of optional features are also available which make this dressed up skiff a real game changer for the manufacturer.
