CCA Florida has been invited by the University of Florida to take part in a work group concerning Goliath Grouper. The University has asked that CCA attend this meeting along with invite our members to fill out their survey. The university has sent out the information below where they explain what the collected information will be used for. CCA Florida is excited to be involved, in hopes that we might be able to help open a selective recreational season.
From the University of Florida:
We are asking for your help with a survey that we are conducting with the Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences Program at the University of Florida. We are looking to hear from a wide variety of stakeholders about their views and experiences regarding the goliath grouper and its management.

Your response to this survey are very important and will be presented to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the Gulf of Mexico and South Atlantic Fisheries Management Councils to help inform in their decisions on the future management of the goliath grouper. For more information on this survey and the goliath grouper please visit http://www.aquaticresources.org/goliath.html
We appreciate your time and consideration. It's only through the generous help of people like you that our research into stakeholder perspectives on goliath grouper can be successful and help inform management decision making.
