Evinrude E_TEC |
Some hot news from
Evinrude regarding the E-TEC two-stroke outboards. The latest instrumentation options for NMEA 2000-certified
E-TEC V6 engines offer multi-function performance display capability, plus simple “plug-and-play” coordination with GPS and other onboard systems. Also new for 2005 are proprietary Raker II propellers, designed to provide enhanced bow lift, higher top end and quicker hole shots with E-TEC engines. A reformulated XD100 synthetic engine oil, blended for E-TEC and Evinrude direct-injection engines, is said to cut oil consumption by half. Evinrude is a leader in low-emission, high-efficiency, 2-stroke engine technology, with inline-2, inline-3, V4 and V6 models. E-TEC outboards have no-adjust linkage—eliminating the need for adjustments at the factory or dealer. E-TEC engines do not have belts, nor do they need oil changes and there is no dealer-scheduled maintenance for the first 300 hours of service. Air-intake silencers and mufflers ensure smooth running, quiet idling and good power, without compromising fuel efficiency. For more information, visit Evinrude at
