Boat Review - Blackfin 272CC

Boat Review - Blackfin 272CC
A fresh new image and plenty of 21st century updates looks good on this Blackfin 272 CC.

This newly minted look for Blackfin takes the heritage of the former Blackfin brand into the 21st century. The Blackfin 272CC combines modern construction standards, thoughtful engineering, comfort features more commonly associated with a larger boat, and combines them into a sporty outboard powered fishing machine for today's fishing family. Blending creature comforts with fishability while not sacrificing one for the sake of the other can be a challenge and the 272CC pull this off handily.

A wraparound forward seating configuration provides room to chill out around the bow deck and features port and starboard forward facing backrests that easily pivot aft to become outboard facing fighting bolsters. A double wide insulated drink box on the forward console area includes folding arm rests and a high-back padding seat. The cleverly engineered transom bench seat hides away offering maximum use of the cockpit deck while fishing. Under a full sized Hardtop, you'll find lots of real estate fore and aft providing abundant sun protection and it's built around a heavy duty pipework design that offers rugged durability and a three-sided tempered glass enclosure to keep you behind the weather. The large console interior offers 6 feet 3 inches of headroom with plenty of room for storage and an optional Head.

Anglers will appreciate the complete Helm Station with twin adjustable captain seats, pull-out drink cooler on a sliding track aft, tackle storage drawers and trays, and bait prep board/rigging sink with pull out shower, all standard features. Insulated storage is available under the cockpit deck within matching 216-quart boxes as well as in an additional pair of compartments under the forward seating for fish or dry storage. A 30-gallon live well is located at the transom and features a See-Thru face and Gemlux control valves.

Every Blackfin 272CC is delivered with such an extensive list of included features as part of a standard package that choosing options becomes mostly a matter style and color options along with electronics and power choices. If you're looking for a basic stripped down no-nonsense fishing platform without any bells and whistles keep looking. This is a feature heavy design that will make both the anglers and the cruisers in the family smile.
