Blazer Bay 2700 Hybrid Bay Boat Review

Let's take a closer look at the Blazer Bay 2700 in this Florida Sportsman boat review.

The 2700 Hybrid Bay is built for the type of angler who enjoys hands on coastal angling as much as running to the blue water while using the same angling style. This deck layout has proven effective in merging coastal techniques into the open water environment as well.

The 2700 sports a large forward casting surface that's as conducive to sight casting to floating debris or a weedline as it is to working over a rock wall or jetty on the beach. The deck height advantage offers increased awareness of target position and is plenty big enough for a couple of anglers to share. It also provides the ability to add a trolling motor to not only quietly stalk up on a target- but to also hold your boat's position over any known structure without the need to anchor.

A smaller rear casting deck in the cockpit allows you to add another angler to the mix while providing space below it to accommodate a pair of 30-gallon live wells in the transom corners. A flip-up double wide bench seat is hidden below the rear deck.

For days when industrial quantities of bait are necessary, another 38-gallon well is located in leaning post under the seat's backrest and five rod holders.

The stability found in a hull measuring 27 feet by 9 feet wide is ideal for anglers constantly working around the boat fighting a fish and while the 2700 may have an imposing footprint in the backwater, it still draws a mere 16-inches of water loaded down.

This Hybrid Bay is an upper tier boat in its class with many quality features included as standard equipment. Dual flush mounted Simrad 12-inch EVO 3 units, Sea Star hydraulic tilt steering, all waterproof Deutsche plug electrical connections, and a wet sounds audio system with four 6.5's two 8” subs and a 200-watt amp are each standard included features.
