An aluminum boat builder that has been in the industry since the forties is Alumacraft. The Bay Series 2072 is 20 feet long and 7 feet, 10 inches wide. The cockpit has a high freeboard and a floor that is 72 inches wide. The seat leaner combination, behind the helm, is attached at the forward bulkhead of the rear casting deck and doesn't take away room from the cockpit. To both port and starboard sides of the helm seat are folding jump seats built into the rear deck. As you go forward there are twin locking rod boxes on either side and a built-in live baitwell under the front seat of the center console. Additional storage is located under the forward casting deck that has a pedestal seat and plug outlet for a trolling motor. The all welded hull has a modified-V and the strakes come from under the hull all the way up the underside of the bow to give the boat an aggressive look and added strength. The exterior finish has an automotive quality shine and the interior has a spray on liner that gives you a tough anti-skid finish. Max horsepower rating is 130 but we got fantastic performance out of a 115.
