Pathfinder 2400 TRS vs. 2400 Open: One for the Family, One for the Fisherman

Florida Sportsman Editor Jeff Weakley joins Charlie Johnson, Director of Marketing & Sales for Pathfinder Boats, during the 2023 Miami International Boat Show to discuss two new hybrid models, the 2400 TRS and 2400 Open comparing the differences between the two.

The new 2400 TRS takes the perfect blend of family and fishing smarts of the highly successful 2600 TRS and puts it all in a slightly smaller package.  With more freeboard, a 9-foot beam, and a 15-degree deadrise, this boat offers tons of room for all its amenities plus the security of a deeper cockpit on a single stepped hull that is fast, fuel-efficient and big water capable. Family and friends will love the dedicated seating for 8, including integrated forward-facing backrests, a luxurious helm seat, and third-row aft deck seating with a flip-up backrest. Plus, there are options for a pump-out head and removable forward and aft shade. For those who need to have the hardcore angler boxes checked, the new 2400 TRS has more than enough rod storage, a standard 38-gallon livewell, an optional release well, and a standard fishbox with an optional macerator. If playing hard and fishing hard with the family is your game, this boat is designed for you. Starts from MSRP $117,201 w/ Yamaha 300 XSB

Designed for the angler who wants to fish it all out of just one boat, the 2400 Open is specialized for hardcore angling versatility in a manageable, sub-25-foot package. With a forward deck for sight fishing applications and a deeper, open rear cockpit for securely fishing out the back in big water conditions, this boat allows you to take advantage of the best fishing every season from shallow to deep. Never again will you be limited by livewell space, fishbox room, rod storage for everything from conventional gear to fly rods, and distance to the next spot. Plus, because it has an 88-gallon fuel capacity and a high-performance, single-stepped hull that is vacuum-infused using VARIS, the 2400 Open has the range and running capability to cover lots of ground quickly and efficiently. Starts from MSRP $122,204 w/ Yamaha 300 XSB
