Online Field Report: EdgeWater 388CC

FS shoots the new center-cosole fisherman.

The high tech composite hull is engineered for heavier four-stroke outboards.

EdgeWater 388 Center Console

New from EdgeWater is the 388CC with very appealing lines as well as high tech construction. Their SPI construction technology produces a stronger and lighter boat which is very important in a big boat that is capable of high speeds in rough water with outboard power options to 900 horse power.

With triple 250 Yamahas, the boat planed with little bow rise and provided a great ride, due in part to being designed for the weight of four-stroke engines. Back at the slip, she bucked the strong current and was easy to dock with her bow thruster.

The standard livewell is 66 gallons and two more can be added. She has good storage, big fish boxes and is unsinkable which makes her particularly well suited for offshore.
