A hot topic in the On the Fly Forum, check out the latest discussion on choosing a waist or chest pack when wade-fishing, here.
What's the best way to carry fly boxes, leaders, and miscellaneous gear while wade-fishing? Florida fly fishers are talking about different waist and chest packs in the On the Fly Forum. Several point out the ergonomic drawbacks to chest packs, while others address construction issues such as waterproofing. It's a good read, if you're hunting for a new pack.
After some Forum discussion, one FS Member ordered two new packs and offers his thoughts: "I ended up ordering the smaller Sage Typhoon and I found the Simms Headwaters from last year on sale, so I got one of those as well. Got the Sage pack today...I'm blown away. What an awesome pack. It's just as cool as can be and is plenty big enough, in fact I'd not want anything larger. The Simms pack should be here Monday or Tuesday. Thanks for the recommendations."
