The TideWater 2200 Carolina Bay 22-footer has a transom deadrise of 15 degrees and more-than-you'd-expect bow flare for a smooth, dry ride. The South Carolina company includes plenty of fishing features to complement its hand-laid fiberglass hull.
A self-bailing cockpit features 30- and 12- gallon aerated livewells, bow and rear casting decks, fish box, and lockable storage for up to 10 rods. The center console incorporates a Plexiglas windshield, aluminum gauge panel, cup holders and room for electronics and gauges. All hardware throughout the bay boat is stainless steel to deter corrosion from salt water. A flip-flop helm seat complements two rear flip-up seats for passengers.
Florida Sportsman's Rick Ryals met up with TideWater Boats in North Florida to photograph the 2200 Carolina Bay. The crews had fun in some “spitty” inlet chop. Check out the exclusive photos below.
