Stuart Sailfish Club's 61st Annual Light Tackle Tournament

This season the homeowners of Sailfish Point are inviting the Light Tackle Tournament to indulge in the breathtaking views and amenities of the ultra private community. This venue combined with the prestige of the historic Stuart Sailfish Club is sure deliver the highlight of the winter tournament season.

The three-day Light Tackle Tournament will stay true to its roots in promoting both the sport and the conservation of game fish. In holding true to tradition, only dead bait, circle hooks, and light tackle will be permitted in this all release tournament. Double-digit releases have become a standard and the list of competing boats read as a who's who in the world tournament circuit.

New this year, the tournament will allow open console boats over 30ft, and will offer an Amateur Championship division for those new to the sport. Pro-division boats are invited to enjoy a round of golf with their teams for a little friendly competition just prior to Thursday's Captain's Meeting.

Breakfast Buffets and Dinner Parties will impress even the most dedicated foodies and the spa offerings, beach club, tennis club, and golf course of the nearby resort will keep the land-lovers busy during tournament hours.

This year's Awards Banquet will be held at Sailfish Point's main clubhouse overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in the aptly named and well-appointed Ocean Club. A cocktail hour and lavish dinner all lead up to the presentation of the trophies and award money to the top tournament boats and anglers.

Portions of the tournament proceeds will benefit the Stuart Sailfish Club's Scholarship Fund, the Sailfish Point Scholarship Fund, and the Martin County Artificial Reef Project.
