The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) has proposed oil drilling in the Eastern Gulf of Mexico, Atlantic, Arctic and Pacific Oceans. This means Florida's beaches, economy, and way of life are at risk.
BOEM is hosting public meetings across the country in an open house format. BOEM will NOT be accepting oral public comment at the only open house in Florida, February 8th in Tallahassee.
That's why citizens are setting up in a conference room next-door to hold a People's Hearing where testimony can be given, taken down by a stenographer, and submitted as official comments.
WHEN: Thursday, February 8, 2018
WHERE: Conference Room next to Four Points Sheraton, 316 W. Tennessee St., Tallahassee
SCHEDULE:
3PM - Press Conference
3:30PM - 5:30PM: Peoples Hearing
4:00PM - Rally & Photo Op
Note - the BOEM Open House will be going on from 3-7pm.
Wear blue, bring your signs, and speak out for our coasts, the Gulf and our oceans!
Please come and support NO DRILLING!
