Skeeter boats have been a trusted name in bass boat circles for many years and have taken their bass boat pedigree into the salt water market with the SX230 bay model. This model sports a very racy, low profile design and lower freeboard than some bay boats you'll see on the water. This look combined with a performance bottom design, pair nicely to create a fast (60 mph) yet nimble package that is perfect for fishing inshore and coastal waters. A unique feature on the SX230 is the use of all roto-molded hatch liners. This creates an extremely rugged and durable storage compartment that is virtually indestructible. Storage lockers are also smartly utilized under all raised deck surfaces including two forward fish boxes, one of which can be used for rod storage, another roomy area behind the anchor locker as well as three additional smaller compartments forward and aft. She also features plenty of rod holders above deck including six holders behind the leaning post/helm seat and four spaces on each side of the center console. The center console is thoughtfully designed to be streamlined and provides anglers a narrow profile to make extra fish around space in the center of the boat. Live baitwells forward under the console seat (14 Gal.) and under the aft casting deck (25 Gal.) each have their own independent pumps both to fill and recirculate water. This is a handy feature that could save some aggravation in the event of a single pump malfunction. The rear casting deck features twin fold up jump seats for extra riders that stow easily providing an uncluttered rear casting deck. This boats overall clean unobstructed working space make her a very attractive platform for serious inshore fishermen.
