In this Florida Sportsman video seminar, Capt. George Gozdz explains how to properly secure your boat while staying overnight at the beach and spoil islands, especially in areas with extreme high and low tides. Capt. Gozdz illustrates how using a "pulley anchor system" will keep your boat in the wet stuff while the tide reveals the shoreline.

This "pulley system" can utilize either two anchors (one in the water behind the boat and one on the shore) or an anchor and a spike and ring eye (anchor behind the boat and ring eye on shore). Run a line through the ring eye on each end and use the line to pull the boat in and out from the shore.

Capt. Gozdz also explains a method of using the Power-Pole and an anchor system. Watch the video!
