NEW BOATS AND POWER Suzuki V6 200 Suzuki Marine, best known for its 4-stroke outboard motors, informed anglers and boaters to be ready for a more powerful hole shot, dramatic acceleration and maximum low-end torque. The popular brand is bringing back its Suzuki V6 200 .
The outboard’s designers envision it as a perfect choice for heavier center consoles, pontoon boats or other watercraft that will benefit from the extra power built into the motor. The motor is more compact and lighter than the comparable previous model, so it fits better on transoms.
The company will still offer its in-line 4-cylinder 200 horsepower 4-stroke so boaters have other options for their vessel performance needs. The V6 however features an offset driveshaft and two-stage gear reduction enabling it to use a larger propeller.
The Suzuki V6 200 comes in three different shaft lengths, 20-, 25- and 30-inch. Entry price is $22,539 MSRP. To learn more or locate the nearest dealer, visit suzukimarine.com or call 813-687-7200.

Shimano Ocea Jigger 2500LD Shimano Ocea Jigger 2500LD fishing reel Slow-pitch jigging in deep, lightly fished waters has the potential to stick some truly big fish. Think yellowfin tuna, magnum amberjacks, and groupers nearing triple digits. For those “out there” drops, Shimano now offers a lever drag, high-capacity edition specialty jig reel in the form of the new Ocea Jigger 2500 LD . It offers up to 44 pounds of drag and is engineered to handle it, with a rigid Hagane body and Infinity Drive which transfer winding power directly to cranking power with minimal side load pressure. Some cool little design hacks include increased cutout for thumbing and line control, and an optional light-line cam that’ll convert the drag curve to that of a 30-pound-class reel (yes, you can convert the Jigger into a bullet-proof trolling or kite-fishing reel). Two models are available, the MG with torquey 5.7:1 gearing and 42 inches per crank recovery, and the HG, optimized for speeding lures out of depths, with 6.2:1 gearing and 46-inch recovery. Line capacity (PowerPro) is 560/40, 470/50 or 340/65. MSRP is $599.99.
