Looking to add some background music to your fishing day? Or pump up the volume for trips to the sandbar? While stereos are fairly common on offshore and cruising vessels, they're seldom installed on bare-bones flats boats. Whether upgrading a stock system or making room for your first, it pays to research the most durable equipment for marine use, and that includes speakers as well as amps and head units. Also, some network plotter systems (Lowrance SonicHub, for instance) are now compatible with adaptors for iPods and other portable music storage devices. Florida Sportsman Member Surf Dogg, who began the thread, later offered photographic defense supporting the case for tunes on flats boats.
