The Flagler Sportfishing Club has successfully concluded the 24th Inshore Fishing Tournament to benefit the family of Tristan Kaphan. October will find the Club holding a Surf Tournament at Marineland Beach on October 6. The City of Flagler Beach assisted by the Flagler Sportfishing Club will hold its first annual Pier Fishing Tournament. The Tournament will be held on October 13 starting with an angler's meeting at 6:30 am to receive the rules. Fishing will commence at 7:00 am till 11:00 am, weigh in starts at 10:00 am and ends at 11:00 am. The anglers will fish for Whiting, Redfish, Black Drum and Flounder.
A big social event for the club is our Annual Picnic and Swap N Shop which will be October 20 at Herschel King Park, Palm Coast. The menu is BBQ with all the fixings coming from our members. Activities will include a kids fishing tournament, A Hot, Hot horse shoe contest, a casting contest, a swap n shop meet.
The regular Club meeting will be held at the Palm Coast Elks Lodge, 7229 Olds Kings Road, Palm Coast starting at 7:30 pm. Our guest speaker will discuss the art of surf fishing. The public is always welcome at Club meetings. Check us out at our web site www.fcsportfishing.com or on Facebook.
