For those folks who like me, have spent a lifetime running around on high performance offshore fishing boats, a “pontoon” boat may seem an unlikely choice of vessels for a day on the water. That is until you get on one and walk around. At first glance you might think this is not a good choice for my type of boating/fishing activity. Until you spend the day on one and realize just how practical they really are for “having fun” on. If a day on the water might consist of loading up a bunch of friends or family for a little low key fishing, cruising, sand bar visiting, swimming, picnic lunching, and relaxing, I can't imagine a better platform to accomplish all of this on than a pontoon boat.
The Fiesta Beachcomber 24 is a beast of a platform for this kind of outdoor fun. First things first, this is a Florida built boat made specifically to stand up to the harsh Saltwater environment. That doesn't mean you can't enjoy it in freshwater but it is built to last through harsh salt punishment over the course of years. This includes all high grade stainless steel fasteners throughout as well as constructing the deck surface out of fiberglass and aluminum. Not a spot of wood on the boat to rot. The frames for all of the seating are constructed out of lifetime warranted composite materials and topped with multi-density foams treated with Bio Guard. The Beachcomber can easily accommodate ten people comfortably seated and is perfectly safe for the kiddos due to the high gate surrounding the deck to keep the little ones in the boat.
A nine foot Bimini top provides shade and rain protection for the lounge area while leaving the forward deck open for fishing or sunbathing. The Fisher model is also equipped with an aerated livewell and rod holders along with pedestal seating on the foredeck for laid back fishing. One thing you'll never run out of is room on a pontoon boat. The design by nature is ideal for loading lots of people, coolers, water toys, fishing gear etc. and striking out for a relaxing day on the water and not taking life too seriously.
