Chix-N-Stix hits Cape Harbour March 23rd and the waterways of Southwest Florida the 24th.
If you have never fished a tournament before, this is the one to start with! The 2-day event is focused on fun, low pressure fishing to ensure that all anglers have a chance at awards and cash payouts! The rules are simple: The heaviest bucketload of 10 ladyfish wins the tournament. Ladies must land their own fish, however men can be on the team and assist with baiting hooks, driving the boat or just sitting back and relaxing while the ladies do all of the work.
Chix-N-Stix was created three years ago with high energy fun for all in mind. The tournament directors have kept the entry fees low at $100 per angler, which includes festivities at The Joint; dinners, open bars, live music, official tournament tote bags filled with gear (think pink) and a day on the water, fishing with friends for a chance to win CASH and prizes. The weigh in is located behind Run Runners also at Cape Harbour.
Those that have participated in one of the five previous Chix-N-Stix events have come to love the specialty divisions. Awards are given out to the team that has the most unique team name such as: ‘Hell on Reels', ‘Snatch and Release', ‘Knot Reel Ladylike' and ‘Lady Slayers' to name a few. A team will also win an award for the most ladies on it; men this is your chance to get involved and have the ultimate bragging rights when you have the largest boat load of ladies! Finally, a team will be awarded most spirited. Past tournaments many teams have gone all out for this one, leaving tournament officials excited to see what the ladies come up with next!
