Carolina Skiff DLV 218

Scott Sanders (left) and Trey Wheeler (right) release an underslot snook caught while pitching artificials in the St. Lucie River.

During the production of Florida Sportsman Best Boat the FS team put the Carolina Skiff DLV 218 through it's paces. It's spacious deck layout provided comfort and stability for multiple cameramen and photographers. When not aiding with filming, the boat provided a great platform to target species both offshore and inshore. Back at the office, the FS team enjoyed using the Carolina Skiff for snook fishing trips back in the St. Lucie River, as well as tarpon hunting off the beaches of Stuart.

As with all Carolina Skiff boats, the DLV 218 is made to be unsinkable. Featuring an all-fiberglass, modified-V hull, wide beam, and a 6- to 8-inch draft; this design enables anglers to navigate across shallow flats, up coastal rivers and even into tidal creeks, as well as make occasional offshore excursions.
