The versatility of a Dual Console deck layout continues to offer many benefits to the multiple interest boating family and does not appear to be losing any ground for the coming model year. A dual console configuration is very popular with deck/sport boats used for leisure boating but its popularity isn't lost on the leisure cruising crowd who like to mix a little fishing into the activities for the day. Building this layout on top of a Deep-V performing hull for a sporty fishing rig that doubles as a water tow sports vessel and casual cruiser is exactly what NauticStar had in mind when they rolled out the 2302 Legacy Dual Console. A family friendly crossover platform that bridges the gap between sports and leisure on the water nicely while offering something for every member of the family to enjoy.
The split seating configuration is rated for a remarkable ten passengers divided into three zones. In the bow, two forward facing lounge seats with reclined back rests may be connected by an optional filler cushion to create a larger sun lounge. Seating on each side houses a pair of 108-quart storage compartments. An acrylic side-mounting table can be deployed both forward and in the cockpit for socializing or dining. Behind a racy looking Panoramic walk-through windshield are split consoles. To port, an enclosed head with LED lighting opens aft to a wide bench seat with a convertible backrest which faces forward or aft. The starboard console helm features a comfortable captain's chair with flip-up bolster and folding armrests. Behind the helm a galley station features a Corian top, pressurized freshwater sink and 25-quart recessed cooler below. Across the cockpit at the transom, bench seating for three across completes the generous seating and a flip up leg rest to port allows one rider to stretch out comfortably facing forward or aft.
For the angling members of your crew a 30-gallon aft live well is located in the transom corner. Gunnel mounted rod holders and a 168-quart insulated fish box are also useful for anglers. A large finished locker between the consoles will store rods or skis easily. For water sports fans the addition of a Tow Bit and transom located fresh water shower nozzle are nice conveniences along with an integrated landing platform with stow able boarding ladder to make water entry/exit simple. All of these conveniences combined with a comfortable ride and impressive 5.6 MPG fuel economy at cruising speed make this an awfully attractive addition to the active boating family's toy collection.
