A boat that fishes lake a center console but has the amenities of a weekender cuddy cabin is in a class all its own. Something you don't see very often on a pleasure boat is a forward leaning windshield. Commercial boats use them to keep glare to a minimum and rain has a better tendency to flow off of it and not obscure your vision. Inline helm layouts are comfortable to drive from and to keep all of the system controls within easy reach of the captain. Most center consoles don't have a luxurious cabin with Corian countertops, a 7 foot long berth and a separate head with a full shower. Behind the helm seat a counter top complete with a sink and grill further adds to a boats ability to cruise the islands for an extended time. No matter how nice the creature comforts are a serious fisherman will need a huge cockpit incorporating tackle storage, fish boxes and a tournament sized baitwell. Transom doors are nice but having sliding doors on either side of the cockpit gain you unparalleled access for divers or to haul in that prize catch.
