AIRMAR Wide Beam Chirp Transducer

If you're hunting for fish in nearshore coastal waters, rivers and lakes, Airmar's new TM165HW transom-mount transducer is definitely worth a look, so to speak. Patent-pending, ceramic design yields an average beamwidth of 30 degrees across the entire high frequency band of 150-250 kHz. Translation: Ultra-crisp detail of high CHIRP sonar in a search area much broader than possible with conventional high-frequency pingers. The 600-watt TM165HW pairs with all major fishfinder brands when connected with the appropriate adapter. MSRP is $499. See www.airmar.com
