The desire for a boat that is fish friendly in multiple venues is very common these days. Folks who enjoy fishing in back waters inshore, nearshore coastal, and offshore alike, will be suitably impressed with the ability of the Glasstream 260 TE to help anglers accomplish all of these jobs. The bones of this model carry the look of a center console you'd expect to find offshore trolling but the deck configuration says inshore casting to mangroves and docks. Glasstream builds on the foundation of a performance hull with their High Lift ventilated step hull design, a boat that runs fast and will handle the ocean on what you'd consider a marginal day. The cockpit design is such that you have freeboard/gunnel height that falls somewhere between a pure bay boat and an offshore center console. This feature allows extra security while fishing offshore while not impeding inshore fish-ability. There is a roomy casting deck both forward and aft for the inshore angler to get the added elevation required to make sight fishing easier and allow free mobility while fighting a fish as well. The 260 TE comes standard with two live wells, a 30-gallon forward and a 35-gallon aft (both with high speed pick-up). A 240-quart insulated fish box with outside drain is large enough to handle offshore bag limits easily. Additional dry storage compartments include two forward rod lockers, a large anchor/rope locker, and a flip back cooler seat. The console features an easy front entry door which provides access to a porta/head and more space for dry storage. This performance hull also offers some pretty impressive fuel/speed numbers reaching between 60 and 70-MPH depending on engine selection and a 3 MPG fuel efficiency at 48-MPH. Glasstream also backs this boat with a 10-year hull warranty.
For the angler looking for a boat that is comfortable in more than one environment and doesn't want to compromise fishing features in any of them, the 260 TE is certainly a worthy model to consider.
