The best part and the main reason we have the event is to get kids fishing.
There is one of the largest seawall fishing tournaments for the adults: Fishing Slam with 12 species of fish and a grand prize of 200hp Suzuki Engine. There is a world class BBQ Tournament run by the Florida BBQ association with over 50 teams competing. Oh and yes, there are pig races! It is so fun to watch.

We're MAD about fishing and barbeque! This three day event includes an adult and kids fishing tournament, a BBQ festival, live music, pig races, marine and art vendors, a mini boat show, a Kids Zone with splash pad, raffle prizes and more! Register online to participate in the fishing tournament or the BBQ competition, or just head to the Madeira Beach Rec Center to enjoy the festival (5-11 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, noon-11 p.m. on Saturday). It is all free! Free Admission, free parking, free water ferry from parking lot to event site, and even free fishing rods to the first 250 kids.
